About Super Computer

SUPER COMPUTER

Super computer are almost the fastest machines in terms of processing speed and use multiprocessing techniques. They use numbers of processor at a time in parallel to make it faster. They perform massive data processing. They have a speed of 20000 million arithmetic operations per second. They are used mainly for weather processing, remote sensing, weapons research and development, seismology, image processing, bio-medical application, atomic and nuclear physics. Some features of Super Computer.
(1)   Processing between 400-10000 MIPS.
(2)    Multi processing in parallel work simultaneously giving maximum efficiency.
(3)   Storage capacity up to 100 GB and more.
(4)     To max the number of floating point instructions per second.
(5)    Limited used and very high cost.
